War with Mexico

According to a recent report by the U.S. Joint Forces Command, Mexico is in danger of a "rapid and sudden collapse" due to criminal gangs and drug cartels.

Before packing his bags and leaving DC, ex-Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff said the U.S. has a plan if violence from the bad guys spills across the border.

The U.S. military would be sent to hot spots along the southern border (Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California) to backup the Border Patrol and local law enforcement.

Not a bad idea. The scumbag Mexican drug smugglers and "coyotes" funneling illegal aliens and drugs across the border might have second thoughts when they run up against a couple of U.S. combat divisions backed up by main battle tanks and attack helicopters.

This all sounds good but with the Obama/Pelosi/Reid OPR gang in charge it's doubtful that such action would ever be taken. Besides, the OPR gang wants to grant blanket amnesty to illegal aliens and scrap plans to secure the border. The Bush administration was also pushing for "comprehensive" immigration reform but failed to get it past Congress. Sen. McCain was a fan of the plan but backed off after an outcry from the public.

Many Americans believe Mexico "collapsed" several years ago. Mexico has to be one of the most corrupt places on the planet. The billions of taxpayers dollars sent to the Mexican government over the years might just as well have been poured down a rat hole for all the good it has done.

According to the report over 5,300 Mexican citizens, including law enforcement officials have been gunned down, many beheaded, by the bad guys in the past year alone. That's more than the U.S. has lost in the Iraq/Afghanistan War in over five years of fighting. Sure sounds like a war to me.

The last time a couple of Border Patrol officers tried to stop a Mexican drug smuggler they wound up in prison with long prison terms. BP Officers Ramos and Compean shot a fleeing drug smuggler in the rear end and US Attorney Johnny Sutton railroaded them into prison based on the drug smugglers testimony. Fortunately, Bush commuted their sentence in his final day in office. They should have been pardoned. At least Sutton has probably lost his job now that the OPR gang is in charge.

I wonder what would happen if an American GI shot a heavily armed member of the Mexican drug cartel smuggling drugs across the border. I can see the headlines now: GI charged with murder for shooting a poor, defenseless, Mexican drug smuggler. Those nasty, old American soldiers killing those poor Mexicans.

Let's face it, Mexican President Felipe Calderon has failed to wrest control from the drug cartels and restore some semblance of law and order in the country. Much of the violence is right on the U.S. Mexican border and becoming more frequent on the U.S. side. As "Dingy" Harry Reid would say "the war is lost."

Most of the liberal U.S. media blames the flow of firearms into Mexico from the United States as the cause for the takeover by the drug cartels. In other words it's the U.S. that is at fault for the problems in Mexico. That's baloney. The bad guys in Mexico can buy military weaponry from any number of sources, including Red China and other rogue nations. Military weapons are routinely stolen from the Mexican military and law enforcement or bought from them.

Aside from a totally corrupt Mexican government, the demand for drugs, not firearms, is what has fueled the Mexican drug trade and led to a breakdown of law and order.

Sadly, America is awash in illegal drugs. Illegal drugs are in our schools, colleges, every level of government from small towns and major major cities to the nation's prisons. Kids, some as young a five, are experimenting with drugs.

The military conducts routine drug test as does law enforcement agencies. A few years ago the DEA agent of the year was caught with a $300,000 payoff from the Mexican drug cartel. Sport figures, Hollywood stars, government bureaucrats and elected officials are frequently involved in illegal drug use.

The demand for illegal drugs is one facet of the "Drug War" that the media and the government largely ignore. The number of lives ruined and lost as a result of illegal drugs smuggled into the U.S. from Mexico is any ones guess. Until that part of the war is addressed we can look forward to an increase of violence spilling across our southern border.

Should the "Mexican Drug War" result in the U.S. military being sent to the border regions the demand for illegal drugs would still be present. If the border was secured by the military and the drug smuggling significantly curtailed the demand for drugs would be even greater.

The continuing controversy over legalizing drugs is sure to be a hot topic in the new Obama administration. After all Obama admitted that he had used hard drugs before becoming the "Messiah."

In the meantime Uncle Sucker just gave Calderon another $400 million to squander. Obama met with Calderon a few days ago and promised to fight the illegal flow of U.S. weapons across the border into Mexico.

The subject of stopping the flow of illegal drugs into the U.S. was not brought up. It's not drugs stupid - it's those damn guns being smuggled into Mexico from the nasty, old United States that's causing all the problems. It's all Americas fault.

UNITED SOCIALIST STATES OF AMERIKA.

The 2008 general elections ushered in a new era for America. The Democrats gained seats in the US Congress and won the White House. Barack Hussein Obama made history as the first black elected as president. Many Americans danced in the streets over the overwhelming Democrat victory while others rushed out to buy guns and ammo before the gun grabbers took over the reins of government.

Abraham Lincoln once said that the reason the term for president is four years is because "one man can't ruin the country in four years." Maybe. Jimmy Carter tried his best and failed. As an ex-president he has continued his international crusade of telling everyone just how rotten America is. Of course the congressional Democrats have spent the past eight years demonizing the Bush administration and labeling it as the worst in recorded history. Never mind that the present economic slump and record setting government bailout of banks and the auto industry took place on their watch.

Aside from an increase in the minimum wage what have the Pelosi /Reid Democrats accomplished in the past two years. Gas prices shot up to over $4.00 @ gallon and they refused to allow new off-shore oil drilling or exploration for oil or building of new refineries or nuclear power plants. They have consistently criticised the military and the war on terror and called for an immediate pullout of Iraq. Sen. Harry Reid said "the war is lost." Sen. Dick Durbin compared US troops to Nazi SS troops; Rep. John Murtha called US Marines cold-blooded killers and Sen. John Kerry accused our troops of "terrorizing women and children in the middle of the night." I'm sure this must have really raised the morale of our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Congressional Democrats have conducted endless investigations of the Bush administration during the past two years hoping to bring ludicrous war crime charges against the vice-president, secretary of defense, and other top Bush officials. Their ultimate goal was to try and impeach President Bush as a get even for the impeachment of Bill Clinton.

The Obama/Pelosi/Reid crowd has willing accomplices in the liberal media for their socialist agenda which raises the big question: Will Obama preside over a move to a socialist state?

During the campaign his rhetoric was pretty much a call to socialism. Cut and run in Iraq; unconditional talks with dictators; close GITMO on day one of his presidency; scrap new weapons development; cut back on our nuclear deterrent; tax the rich; universal health care and a refusal to drill for oil in favor of "alternate fuel." He has also favored amnesty for illegal aliens and been wish-washy on the Second Amendment Rights of citizens to "keep and bear arms." Obama played to the crowd.

Obama's ascension to the presidency has been nothing short of remarkable. From an obscure "community activist" in Chicago to the Illinois Senate and the US Senate and at first an almost unknown in the presidential race to winning the nomination was a stunning, political accomplishment. Despite all of his political baggage he whipped them all, including the Clintons.

When it comes to political baggage he has a semi-truck load to deal with. From his close association with the Rev. Jeremiah "G--D America" Wright and the terrorist Bill Ayers to convicted felons like Tony Rezko and impeached Illinois Gov. Rod Bloagojevich he has managed to stay above the fray. Even the charge that he was actually born in Kenya and not a US citizen by birth has been largely ignored. Who cares - he's black and that's all that counts. Unless he drops dead first Obama will become the 44th president of the United States.
Most Americans aren't against a black becoming president. They are concerned with who that black is. Despite all the publicity and accusations we really don't know just who Obama is. Is a Muslim? Was he born in Hawaii or Kenya? What was his relationship with Bill Ayers and other radical, anti-American activists? What are his accomplishments besides being a state senator and a US senator? We do know that he was one of the most liberal members of the US Senate.

Jimmy Carter was not a household name when he ran for president. He showed up at the White House with an empty valise that he carried around. The empty valise was descriptive of his dismal administration. His constant talk of the "malaise" of America and inability to deal with run away inflation and unemployment and a disastrous foreign policy that led to the Iranian hostage crisis typified his presidency. Will Obama be a repeat of Carter? Let's hope not.

Obama has recently waffled on some of his campaign promises. He says he's taking another look at closing GITMO; he's not calling for an immediate pull out of troops in Iraq and he's reconsidering a tax increase for the rich. To his credit he kept Bob Gates as Sec Def and named retired Marine Gen. Jones as National Security Advisor. None of this has pleased his far left base or the Pelosi/Reid crowd. Still Obama preaches that more government is the solution to America's problems. That's a call for "socialism." Former President Ronald Reagan reminded us all that "government wasn't the solution to our problems - government was the problem."

Obama will inherit a nation that has removed God, bible and prayer from our public schools; made abortion a right; feminized the military; allowed same sex marriage; ignored our immigration laws; refused to recognize English as the official language; allowed the US Flag to be burned as a form of protest; stood by while the media and members of Congress demeaned our troops and called for surrender in the war on terror; continues to support and fund the anti-America United Nations; has allowed the proliferation of Muslim mosques numbering in the thousands to be built across the country; sanctioned the removal of crosses and nativity scenes from public places; discouraged saying Merry Christmas as politically incorrect and the list goes on and on. Our freedoms are slipping away with each passing day.

He has also inherited a badly divided nation with one side seemingly oblivious as to what's happening and the other side fearful as to the rise of socialism and further losses of liberty and freedom. Unfortunately, the Republican Party has become a "me too party" and abandoned many of its conservative principles. Too many congressional members have become RINOs Republicans in name only.

Sen. John McCain, although a military hero and long time member of the Senate, was a poor choice for president. Too liberal, too old, a poor speaker, too supportive of amnesty for illegal aliens and opposed to big oil. Strong on national defense and winning in Iraq but came across as uninformed on the economy. He was more of a RINO than he was a "maverick." His choice of Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate gave the campaign a big boost. Unfortunately, the Wall Street debacle and the resulting government bailout doomed his campaign. Gov. Palin has made her mark and will likely be a contender in future presidential campaigns.

It's unlikely that any Republican could have prevailed against Obama with the slump in the economy blamed largely on the Bush administration and the Republicans. Never mind that congressional Democrats were more responsible than the Bush administration. But it happened on his watch and McCain couldn't distance himself from Bush. Politics is a tough game.

Obama comes across as a savvy politician and could become a successful president. It's his call and Americans and the world, including the terrorists, will be watching. We have not had another major terrorist attack on our nations soil since September 11, 2001. That's to the credit of President Bush.

Terrorists strike Mumbai, India

TERRORISTS MURDER UNARMED CITIZENS - If you find yourself in a gunfight without a gun you'll lose every time. Ask the survivors of the recent terrorist attack in Mumbai, India that resulted in over 195 innocent, men, women and children being slaughtered by a handful of scumbag terrorists, the helplessness of being unarmed and unable to defend themselves. The armed terrorists didn't just shoot their hapless victims, they blew them up with hand grenades, tortured several to death, and beheaded others. Six Americans were murdered along with five Jews. Unfortunately, many of the police in the area were unarmed. Had there been even a few armed individuals among the victims in the locations of the attacks the outcome may have been different and the loss of innocent life much less.

Over 239 people were injured in the attack including twenty-two foreigners. The terrorists were looking for Americans, British and Jews but intended to kill as many people as they could before being killed themselves. All but one of the 10 terrorists were killed by India commandos.

The terrorists were reportedly from Pakistan and linked with al-Qaida and the Taliban. Some experts believe the attack was in retaliation for ongoing U.S. and British military operations against Islamic targets in Pakistan.

President Bush pledged full support to India and said: "The killers who struck are brutal and violent, but terror will not have the final word." I hope he's right.

What should be done is to find out where the terrorists came from and target those locations with air and ground attacks and wipe them out. With less than two months left in office and the Obama "cut and run" administration gearing up to takeover, I doubt that Bush will take any military action. The British won't do much either. At the best a flurry of diplomatic efforts from the U.S. and Britain. All talk and no action. It will be up to Israel to deal with these scumbags. I predict that Israel will take military action against those responsible for the attack, especially since Jews were murdered.

In the meantime let's hope that cooler heads prevail in India and Pakistan and not use the Mumbai attack to start another shooting duel across their borders.

The question was raised as to how a small force of 10 terrorists could inflict such a large number of casualties. Not too hard to answer if 10 heavily armed individuals attack a virtually unarmed group of mostly innocent civilians. In India, and most other countries, citizens don't have a Second Amendment Right that allows citizens "to keep and bear arms" as Americans do.

In America most states have laws that allow citizens to carry concealed handguns. Americans are a well armed society with over 200 million firearms in the hands of over 90 million citizens. The U.S. Supreme Court recently ruled, for the first time, that the right to keep and bear arms is an individual, fundamental right. Armed terrorists would surely come up against armed citizens if they tried a "Mumbai attack" in the United States. Not only is there an armed citizenry in America law enforcement is heavily armed and equipped to deal with such attacks. U.S. military forces would also respond to terrorist attacks.

Despite all the gains Americans have had in defense of the Second Amendment Right to keep and bear arms, there are those who seek to ban the private ownership of firearms. The gun grabbers, who have a great deal of support in the US Congress, mostly liberal, socialist Democrats, continue to call for more and more gun control that will only serve to disarm, decent, law-abiding gun owners at their peril. Unfortunately, these same Democrats now have a champion, soon to be president, in the White House that shares their view.

Let's face it folks more gun control, with over 20,000 such laws on the books that have not reduced crime or it's rate of increase, will only serve to make it tough on gun owners to protect themselves, their families and property from well armed criminals who ignore the law. In fact the one thing criminals fear most is that their next victim may be armed. I'm sure terrorists also realize that, unlike the victims in Mumbai, Americans are well armed and will shoot back.

George Washington our first president said it best: "Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself." That's as true today as it was then.

Hipshots

GOP VP PICK - John McCain scared the hell out of Barack Hussein Obama and the rest of the Pelosi/Reid Democrats and their pals in the liberal, socialist media when he named Alaska's Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate. Palin, an NRA life member and pro-life and mother of five, is one tough lady who takes no prisoners. A true conservative who has taken on the corrupt politicians in her state and won. She is an avid hunter and fisher and pilots her own small plane. Palin and her husband Todd, a worker in the oil fields and a union member, are both avid hunters and fishers and real outdoor types.

The Demoncrats immediately launched a smear campaign to discredit Palin. No experience they cried. What? Are they kidding. Palin has more experience than Obama. A governor for two years, a city mayor for two terms, and chairwoman of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission. She is also the Commander in Chief of the Alaska National Guard. What has the Messiah done besides being one of the most liberal state senators and now a do nothing, liberal member of the US Senate.

McCain made one of the best decisions of his long political career selecting Palin.
